Standard

0 – 35,000 Nm / torsionally flexible jaw coupling

The original – renowned industrial standard The torsionally flexible jaw coupling Azejia Standard is an elastomer coupling with feather keyway and particularly low-priced due to its simple structure. For mounting the hubs of the elastomer coupling are simply pushed on the shafts and axially fastened via setscrews. Our flexible elastomer coupling Azejia Standard is provided with splines acc. to DIN and SAE as a standard. The torsionally flexible Azejia couplings are suitable for universal use and applied as a flexible shaft connection in almost all ranges of general mechanical and plant engineering.

General Description

Properties of torsionally flexible jaw couplings: Azejia shaft couplings consist of two hubs (aluminium or steel) and a spider (elastomer ring / cam ring) made of (elastomer). The different degrees of hardness of the spider allow to adjust the level of damping and torsional stiffness of the elastomer coupling. Azejia couplings require few mounting space and thus allow for easy assembly/disassembly. The numerous types provide for maximum flexibility and meet with the different mounting requirements through various types of hubs.

Function

Function of torsionally flexible jaw couplings: Jaw couplings ensure torsional vibration-damping power transmission and offset shocks generated by irregularly operating machines. In contrast to flexible couplings the connecting elements of which are stressed on bending and therefore to earlier wear, the flexible teeth of Azejia couplings (elastomers) are subjected to compressive stress only. The benefit of the elastomer coupling thus is to withstand significantly higher loads. The elastomers deform with load and high speeds. Sufficient expansion space must be provided. All sizes of Azejia jaw couplings have a maximum torsion angle of 5°. They can be mounted both horizontally and vertically. The elastomers deform with load and high speeds. Material

Material of torsionally flexible jaw couplings: Our elastomer material is resistant to higher temperatures and has a considerably longer service life than common polyurethanes. From a visual point of view we marked the (elastomer) material by the colours orange (92 Shore A), purple (98 Shore A) and light green (64 Shore D).
