NPX Couplings Type A

NPX Couplings Type A

Type A coupling:

It utilizes a rigid flange structure without elastic elements. A metal sleeve or clamping shell directly connects the two shafts. While simple and cost-effective, it requires strict alignment accuracy between the two shafts.

Selection Recommendations:

If high torque transmission and strict alignment are required, Type A is preferred.
If vibration damping or misalignment compensation is required, Type B is preferred.

Type B couplings: Compensate for radial, axial, and angular displacement (e.g., elastic pin type). They are suitable for applications subject to vibration or installation errors (e.g., pumps and fans), and for medium- and high-speed equipment requiring vibration damping or misalignment compensation (e.g., compressors and textile machinery).

The torsionally flexible N-EUPEX couplings can divert critical torsional vibrations out of the machine’s operating range, thereby preventing them from negatively impacting the system chain. N-EUPEX couplings are made of high-quality cast iron. The elastic element, made of synthetic rubber (Perbunan), is available in various hardening options for various applications. The metal cam and elastic element are matched to each other to ensure wear-free operation when properly installed.
