JQ type – clamp shell coupling

JQ type – clamp shell coupling (HG5-213-65) The characteristics of the vertical clamp shell coupling are similar to those of the clamp shell coupling. It has a simple structure and is easy to assemble and disassemble. It is suitable for low speed (maximum circumferential linear speed is 5M/S), no impact, and stable vibration load occasions. It is suitable for connecting vertical shafts such as agitators. The clamp shell coupling uses two axially split clamp shells, which are clamped with bolts to achieve the connection of the two shafts. The torque is transmitted by the friction between the surfaces of the two half couplings, and the flat key is used for auxiliary connection. The shaft does not need to move axially during the assembly and disassembly of the clamp shell coupling, so it is very convenient to assemble and disassemble. The disadvantages of the clamp shell coupling are low centering accuracy of the two shaft axes, complex structure and shape, low manufacturing and balancing accuracy, and only suitable for low speed and stable load occasions. Usually, the maximum outer edge linear speed is not more than 5m/s. When the linear speed exceeds 5m/s, a balance check is required.
